This weekend, the Twin Peaks reboot got a lot less Lynchian when the show’s creator and director announced he was pulling out of the project.
In a statement posted on Facebook, David Lynch revealed that he would not be directing the new season of the show (which was announced last fall) because of a disagreement about money.
But, he clarified, the show will go on.
“Dear Facebook Friends, Showtime did not pull the plug on Twin Peaks. After 1 year and 4 months of negotiations, I left because not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done,” Lynch wrote.
